Smoking is a hard habit to break!  I have a lot of compassion for people who want to quit but are struggling to let go.  A common reason that people struggle to quit is anxiety.  Smoking is a coping skill that they don't want to let go of, because it serves a purpose.  A few tips:
  1. Be kind to yourself.  You have probably been smoking for awhile.  It's OK if quitting is not easy.
  2. It takes most people multiple tries, so if you try and fail--try again!
  3. You are worth it.  Your health and quality of like matter.
  4. Don't ignore your mental health.  If anxiety is standing in the way of quitting, let's find a healthier way to manage your anxiety.
  5. There are medications that can help you quit.  Other treatments such as hypnotherapy and acupuncture can also help you quit.  They are all tools, but will only work if you truly want to quit.
  6. There is no one size fits all solution.  Make an appointment so that we can discover what works best for you.
