About Dr. Michelle Magid, MD, MBA
Michelle Magid, MD is a board-certified Austin psychiatrist providing care to patients at Austin Psychcare.
Upon completion of her formal training, Dr. Magid joined the staff at Seton Family of Hospitals. During her 7 years with the Department of Psychiatry, Dr. Magid served as the Director of ECT, was named Teacher of the year, and has over 100 publishings/lectures on mental health.
Dr. Magid serves as an associate professor for University of Texas, Dell Medical School and Texas A&M Health Science Center where her main role is "teaching doctors how to be doctors."
She equally enjoys psychotherapy and medication management and is an expert in the mind-body connection.

Dr. Magid received her BA in Biology from Boston University and was granted early admission into the Boston University School of Medicine, where she won the award for excellence in Psychiatry.
Dr. Magid completed her residency in Psychiatry at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic. She was Chief Resident and won the Laughlin Fellowship, a national award given to ten psychiatry residents "deemed to make a significant contribution to the field of Psychiatry."
