About Dr. Rebecca Bushong, MD

Rebecca Bushong, MD is a board-certified dermatologist providing care to patients in the Muncie, Anderson and Carmel Indiana areas at Swofford Dermatology.

Dr. Bushong brings a wealth of professional experience spanning over two decades of practicing dermatology. She has a special interest in women's medical and cosmetic skin care issues. In addition, her background as a pharmacist allows her to manage complex dermatologic issues requiring aggressive medical management ranging from infancy to adulthood. 

For her expertise, the Governor appointed Dr. Bushong to the Indiana State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers Examiners. 
She is a Past President of the Madison County branch of the Indiana State Medical Association.

Education & Training

Dr. Bushong was raised in Kentucky and graduated from the University of Kentucky in Lexington with a B.S. in Pharmacy.  She obtained her Pharm D degree from Mercer University College of Pharmacy in Atlanta, GA. 

After practicing pharmacy for seven years, she returned to the University of Kentucky and received her M.D. degree from their College of Medicine.  She spent her internship year at Yale University before completing her dermatology residency at the University of Cincinnati.
