Education & Training

Dr. Macalester grew up in Eugene and did his undergraduate work at Portland State University. He received his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, and then completed an osteopathic medical residency in internal medicine in Columbus, Ohio. An interest in immunology led him to a rheumatology fellowship at the University of Virginia.
