About Mark DeBord, LCSW
Mr. DeBord is a social work graduate of LA State University (1982) and as of January 3, 2014 retired from the LA Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) where he had worked for 31 years. He served as the Regional Administrator in Northeast LA since October 1998. After receiving his LCSW, he began a clinical private practice in addition to his work with OBH. He is associated with First West Counseling Center in West Monroe, LA, a Christian Counseling Center. Mr. DeBord is a Board Approved Supervisor (BACS) for licensure as an LCSW. He has completed the Associate Fellow (1992) and supervisory requirements of the Albert Ellis Institute (1996) and teaches and uses REBT in his clinical work. August 2013, Mr. DeBord became a Certified Trainer with Heart and Soul of Change Project - Partners for Change Outcome Management System.
Mr. DeBord’s clinical practice is limited to adults and older adolescents. A variety of clinical issues are accepted; but predominant presentations are depression, anxiety and relationship disorders. Services are by appointment only. Mr. DeBord can be contacted by phone at 318-381-9070.
