Maureen Briare

Maureen Briare, BSN, MA, RN, is an Instructor at the University of Portland, School of Nursing. She joined the faculty of University of Portland in 2000 after working as a rehabilitation RN, home health and hospice RN and quality management RN across the Pacific Northwest. Maureen is a harpist and published composer of choral and instrumental works, and is pursuing an EdD in Neuroeducation, with hopes of furthering research and study in the areas of palliative care, anxiety and well-being, by integrating healing music and therapeutic practices, such as mindfulness, within these arenas, and within the classroom.
