In infants and children, the most common food allergies are eggs, milk, peanuts, tree nuts, soy and wheat. The most common allergies in adults are shellfish (shrimp, crayfish, lobster), peanuts, tree nuts, and fish (such as salmon). Peanuts, tree nuts and shellfish often cause severe food allergies.
