About Dr. Gavin Powell, MD

Gavin R. Powell, MD founded the Dermatology and Laser Center of Canyon County in August of 2004, with the primary goal of providing compassionate and professional skin care for his patients.  The practice started with three employees including Dr. Powell and now the practice provides employment for 20 people including four clinical providers.  

Dr. Powell has performed thousands of skin cancer surgical procedures over the years, which is the primary focus of his practice.  In addition, he maintains an active general dermatology practice treating both common and rare diseases of the skin and has 15 years of experience and counting with the use of lasers for both cosmetic and medical conditions. He is also well versed in the use of injectable fillers and neurotoxins for cosmetic enhancement.  

Dr. Powell is a published author within the specialty of Dermatology and is active academically teaching fellow physicians, medical students and the community the science of skin care.
