About Dr. James Baker, M.D.
After retirement in 2011, I have been doing part-time charity medicine with the West Sound Free Clinic in Kitsap County. We have no brick-and-morter office but rather operate out of borrowed office space bringing portable medical equipment. We dot not charge any fees or take any insurance. We partner with Project Access Northwest to refer patients for free specialty care in Kitsap County and Seattle, and with LabCorp and St. Michael's Hospital to provide free lab work and imaging. If patient's can afford care at fully functional medical offices, we recommend they do so, but we are available to help those that fall through the cracks such that public assistance is not sufficient to cover their medical needs. We are a Christian organization that has no motive other than the desire to serve the needy.
