Medical Expertise of Dr. Paul Wortman, MD

Dr. Wortman has a wealth of experience in the traditional treatment of the many disorders that can affect the skin, hair and nails. More recently, he has become interested in trying to blend such traditional methods with alternative and complementary care to provide a more complete and integrated approach to patients’ needs. This might involve discussion about dietary changes, herbal and vitamin supplements, massage, acupuncture, healing touch and other forms of mind/body work.

Dr. Paul Wortman, M.D., is a board-certified North Carolina dermatologist providing care to patients in the King area at Mountainview Skin Care.

Dr. Wortman specializes in identifying and treating skincare conditions such as acne, rashes, dry skin, athlete’s foot, lice, eczema, contact dermatitis, warts, psoriasis, poison ivy, ringworm, seborrhea, hives, scabies, precancers and skin cancers. Dr. Wortman has a wealth of experience in the traditional treatment of the many disorders that can affect the skin, hair, and nails. More recently, he has become interested in trying to blend such traditional methods with alternative and complementary care to provide a more complete and integrated approach to patients’ needs. 

He obtained his undergraduate degree from Harvard College and his M.D. from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He completed residencies and is Board Certified in both internal medicine (1989) and dermatology (1992). He has been in the private practice of dermatology since 1995.
