Dr. Ramachandra Tata migrated with his family to USA in 1988 after having studied medicine and worked in India and Saudi Arabia. His schooling in India was exemplary – a cum laude MD degree in internal medicine at Andhra University where he was given several awards including the gold medal for best outgoing student from among all medical colleges of the university.
