Medical Expertise of Susan Walkley, FNP, LMT, PhD

Susan brings a unique background to health care. She has been working as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2011, always in Urgent Care settings, with additional experience in Orthopedics and Pediatrics. Before moving to Williamsburg, Virginia she lived in New York City for 18 years, working as a licensed massage therapist, personal trainer, anatomy teacher (for artists, massage therapists, undergrads and yoga teachers) and medical anthropology adjunct professor.

In 2007, Susan completed a PhD program in Medical Anthropology from Columbia University, with a dissertation on treatment approaches for low back pain.
