About Carlya Holmes, PA-C
Cayla is a certified physician assistant who has experience in family medicine and is in the top 1% of physician assistants completing a specialized dermatology fellowship through the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and biology at Baylor University and achieved her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She is also a member of the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants.
Cayla speaks Spanish and is passionate about medical mission opportunities. She enjoys working with the medically underserved, both locally and abroad. Along with several other students at the University of Texas Medical Branch, she founded an organization to raise awareness and educate healthcare providers on the issue of human trafficking. She is married and enjoys traveling, learning about different cultures, camping and being active outdoors. She enjoys watching Baylor football and spending quality time with her family and friends.
