Dr. Blumenfeld graduated from St. Andrews College in South Africa and then attended medical school at the University of the Witwatersrand. In 1986, he moved to the United States and completed a neurology residency and Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.

The Neurology Center provides diagnostic treatment services for patients with disorders of the nervous system. Our neurologists are affiliated with Scripps Hospital in Encinitas and La Jolla, Tri City Medical Center in Oceanside, Palomar Medical Center in Escondido and Pomerado Hospital in Poway. Many of our neurologists have appointments to the volunteer faculty at UCSD, and are actively involved with the neurology training program there.
