About Dr. Brittainy Dark, MD
Dr. Dark was born in Birmingham, Ala. She obtained her medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta. Throughout her student career, Dr. Dark was recognized for her excellence resulting in numerous awards, which include the OB/GYN Administrative Chief Resident award; Resident Award in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility; Recipient of the National Healthcare Scholars Foundation; Recipient of the Fitzroy Younge OB/GYN Society National Medical Association Scholarship Award. In addition to her academic excellence, Dr. Dark is passionate about community service and has volunteered her time to many important causes including numerous health fairs, the Hosea Feed the Homeless Campaign, Hands on Atlanta, a homeless shelter for women and children, Red Cross blood drives, and a medical mission trip to Belize where she volunteered medical services to several rural and underprivileged areas of Belize — just to name a few. Dr. Dark joined Douglas Women’s Center, PC in 2010, and provides both gynecological and obstetrical care.
