About Dr. Fernando Mariz, MD

As a leading gynecologist at the gynecology center in NYC, he provides highly personalized and comprehensive gynecological care to the patients in New York City and surrounding areas. His philosophy regarding the doctor/patient relationship is based on trust and has earned him the trust of his patients.

Dr. Mariz was very active in teaching fellow residents and medical students, even being awarded several teaching awards such as “Teacher of the Year”, and later honorarily inducted into the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) after receiving an award for his excellence and proficiency in minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Mariz specializes in the treatment of complex issues such as abnormal bleeding pelvic pain, and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). He has significant experience with medical care for women of all ages. In our mature population, he manages urinary complaints, unintended leaking, vaginal dryness, decreased sexual desire, hot flashes, and postmenopausal symptoms. In our younger population, he works tirelessly to help women regulate their hormones and become pregnant.

Dr. Mariz is dedicated to providing patients with the highest gynecological care and the best surgical outcomes. He is dedicated to being one of the best obgyn in NYC and gynecological surgeons and prides himself on his bedside manner and diagnostic approach.Dr. Mariz speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese fluently.
