About Dr. Juanita Valdes Camacho, MD

Dr. Valdes Camacho completed medical training at Rosario University in Colombia, after which she pursued research in ocular toxoplasmosis, while completing residency in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. She then completed her internship and residency in Pediatrics, in the St Joseph's Children's Hospital, in Paterson, NJ, and stayed an extra year as Chief Resident. She then completed fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Stanford University.Since residency she has focused on achieving a high level of expertise in Primary Immunodeficiencies (Inborn Errors of Immunity), and is also highly comfortable with allergic pathologies such as food allergies, EoE, FPIES, asthma, allergic rhinitis, drug allergies and AERD among others. She has always had a strong interest in research and plans to pursue clinical and basic immunology research as my part of her academic career.
