Dr. Mary Downs is originally from West Texas. After graduating from high school in her home town of Midland, she attended college at Rice University in Houston Texas. Next came medical school, internship and a neurology residency all at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston Texas. She was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, and served as chief resident her final year of training.
