J. Michael Hemphill is a board-certified neurologist providing care to patients in the Savannah, Pooler and Richmond Hill area of Georgia at Savannah Neurology Specialists. He also serves as an Associate Professor of Neurology at MCG, and Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at Mercer University School of Medicine.
Dr. Hemphill has written numerous journal articles and has received the Best Teacher of the Year award from the Department of Family Medicine at Memorial University Medical Center multiple times and has been listed in Best Doctors in the Southeast and Best Doctors in America.
He is a strong patient advocate for MS patients and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Georgia Chapter of the National MS Society, from which he received their 2018 Health Professional Impact Award.

Dr. Michael Hemphill received his medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine completed his neurology residency training at The Johns Hopkins Hospital where he also completed a research Fellowship in Movement Disorders and was Assistant Professor of Neurology.
Dr. Hemphill also studied bioethics as a Rockefeller Fellow at Harvard University and received an MBA from Emory University.
