A native of Upper Darby, he completed his undergraduate study at Ursinus College and received his M.D. degree from Thomas Jefferson University Jefferson Medical College. A recipient of the military’s HPSP scholarship, he served 8 years in the United States Army after graduating from medical school. Following an internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Dr. Regan served as the Flight Surgeon for the 3rd Squadron 6th Cavalry Regiment in South Korea. He completed his Dermatology residency training at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California, immediately after which he obtained his board certification from the American Board of Dermatology. He was then asked to join the teaching staff at one of the nation’s largest dermatology residency programs at the combined Brooke Army Medical Center and Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. During his time there, Dr. Regan established and directed the department’s first laser and procedural dermatology clinic.
n 2009, he deployed as the Battalion Surgeon for the 1st Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment and commanded a Level I Aid Station during combat operations in southern Iraq. After finishing his military service, Dr. Regan completed an American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS) and ACGME approved fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Procedural Dermatology at Cooper University Hospital with specialized training in skin cancer and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Regan has lectured at several national medical meetings including the annual conferences for the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. He has also published in many prominent medical journals to include the New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, and the Dermatologic Surgery Journal.
