Amy is a native of Hammond and earned her Master of Medical Science Degree in Physician Associate Studies at Our Lady of the Lake College.

She completed her undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and received her national certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants in 2009 and is licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners.
