About Dr. Brian Matthys, DO

Brian Matthys, DO is a graduate of Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences. Postgraduate studies followed at Ohio University and completed in 2000. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology in the Department of Internal Medicine at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.

Dr. Matthys is a member of the Kansas City Dermatologic Association, the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Photobiology, and the American Society for Mohs Surgery.

Dr. Matthys is a participant of Northland Healthcare Access, whose purpose is to provide care to the under or uninsured living in the Northland. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Jellybean Conspiracy, a theater of kindness whose mission is to include the gifts and creativity of children and young adults with disabilities within the structure of a theatrical play.

Extracurricular activities include travel, guitar and antique cars.
