About Dr. Bruce Saal, MD

Bruce Saal, MD, is a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist with vast experience in both traditional dermatologic services and the newest, most cutting-edge procedures. Los Gatos Dermatology in Los Gatos, California, pioneered anti-aging laser treatments for the last forty years and continues to do so today.

Whether patients are seeking treatment for a physical condition, such as rosacea or acne scarring, or if they’re interested in the newest FDA-approved body contouring technique, Dr. Saal has the skill and experience needed to deliver outstanding results.

He began his educational career at Harpur College at the State University of New York, graduating with a degree in chemistry. He then attended medical school at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans before completing his internship at the University of Southern California (USC) Medical Center in Los Angeles. He stayed at USC to complete his dermatology residency.

Dr. Saal founded Los Gatos Dermatology in 1976 and, for the past forty years, has been an honored example of what it takes to succeed in the field.

He co-organized the first laser surgery clinic at Stanford University, Department of Dermatology, and continues to be a recognized leader in both laser surgery and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Saal also lectures at various dermatology educational forums, both nationally and abroad.

Professionally, Dr. Saal is board-certified by both the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Pathology. He holds a fellowship at the American Board of Laser Surgery and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. He’s also a fellow at the American Society of Dermatopathology, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
