He received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College, where he trained at both New York Hospital and Sloan Kettering Memorial Cancer Center. After completing an internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, he finished a second residency in dermatology at The University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
