Dr. Clemons received his undergraduate degree Southern Methodist University (1975) and then attended Louisiana State University Medical School to obtain his medical degree (1978).

Dr. Clemons then completed his dermatology residency training at Louisiana State University Medical Center, Charity Hospital in 1982.
