Dr. Abeles is a graduate of Cornell University. She earned her Medical Degree (MD) from The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. After her Internship in Pediatrics at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, she completed her Dermatology Residency at the State University of New York at Brooklyn. Following her Dermatology Residency Program, Dr. Abeles went on to complete a Fellowship in Cosmetic, Laser, and Skin Cancer Surgery through the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
Dr. Gwen Abeles is a contributing author to the textbook, The Columbia Manual of Dermatologic Cosmetic Surgery, and has had numerous articles published in the journals of Dermatologic Surgery, and Cosmetic Dermatology.
She is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City and is on staff at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood.
