Dr. Jason R. Lupton is a dermatologist providing medical care to patients in the San Diego area.

Dr. Lupton's clinical expertise includes all aspects of laser surgery and aesthetic dermatology. He has authored more than 40 articles, book chapters, and reviews within the peer-reviewed literature. He has lectured extensively across the United States and Europe on laser surgical techniques as well as routinely instructed other physicians in the newest laser trends. In addition, Dr. Lupton has lectured at many of the major dermatology meetings in the US including the annual American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.

Dr. Lupton's clinical expertise is regularly sought by major media outlets. He is often quoted in national and local magazines, newspapers, and periodicals. Dr. Lupton was born in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, and completed his undergraduate and medical training at Georgetown University. He completed a one-year internal medicine internship at the Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in La Jolla, CA, and completed his dermatology training and chief residency at the George Washington University Medical Center and the Washington Hospital Center. Dr. Lupton subsequently completed a highly competitive and coveted one-year laser surgery fellowship at the Washington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery. His involvement in research studies and clinical trials helped establish him early on as a recognized leader in cosmetic dermatologic surgery. He is one of the few fellowship-trained cosmetic dermatologists in southern California.

Dr. Lupton's clinical expertise and training include specialization in general medical and surgical dermatology, minimally invasive cosmetic procedures such as BotoxCosmetic, soft tissue fillers like Restylane, Juvederm, Perlane and Radiesse. He also has expertise in a large variety of laser devices for brown spot and pigmented lesion removal, skin tightening, laser hair removal, laser tattoo removal, blood vessel treatment, and laser skin rejuvenation.
