Dr. Ackermann received a B.S. in Biology Research and minor in Chemistry at Loras College. He went to medical school at Des Moines University and graduated with a distinction in Family Medicine. His Family Practice Residency was completed at Duke University South Regional AHEC in Fayetteville, N.C. During his time there, he served as Chief Resident.
