Dr. Perez has published research in the prestigious medical journal Nature Medicine and contributed to research featured in the Smithsonian Magazine.  He has published abstracts for both the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology  (AAAAI) and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI).

Dr. Perez received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, medical degree from the University of Texas at Houston in the Texas Medical Center and his residency was completed at Scott & White Hospital in Temple.  His fellowship in asthma, allergies, and immunology was completed at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City.
