About Dr. Joy Chen, MD

Dr. Joy Chen is a dermatologist providing medical care to patients in the Bethesda, Maryland area.  Dr. Chen is the founder and director of Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Center, LLC.  

She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts graduating Cum Laude.  She then received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.   After completion of medical school, she moved to Washington, DC where she completed both her Internal Medicine Internship and her Dermatology Residency at the Washington Hospital Center, serving as Chief Resident during her final year of residency.  

Dr. Chen is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.  She is also an active member of the Montgomery County Medical Society and has served as a Board member.
