About Dr. Karl Spector, MD

Karl Spector MD, is a board-certified Internist providing care to patients in Bel Air, Maryland.
Dr. Spector was Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 1999 and specializes in the care of patients 18 and older who require preventative, acute and chronic medical care.

Dr. Spector believes that health and wellness is a collaborative effort between doctor and patient, maximized through prevention, healthy lifestyle choices and treatment of disease. For each patient he sees, his goal is to give them tools they need to enjoy all that life has to offer.

One of Dr. Spector’s passions is the empathetic treatment of those patients who suffer from the disease of addiction. He is the Medical Director at the Serenity Clinic, an outpatient treatment center in Aberdeen and he served as the Medical Director of Addiction Services at the Harford County Health Department from 2007-2010. Dr. Spector was also awarded the prestigious Outpatient Physician of the Year in 1998.
