About Dr. Kristen Thomas, MD


Dr. Kristen Thomas is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.After graduating with highest honors from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, she attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia, graduating in 2007. She then moved to Durham, NC to complete her post-graduate training at Duke University, completing her internship in Internal Medicine in 2008, followed by a clinical research fellowship with Dr. Elise Olsen in 2009, and her residency in Dermatology in 2012, where she served as co-Chief Resident. Dr. Thomas has been practicing dermatology since completing her residency in 2012. She joined Georgia Skin Cancer and Aesthetic Dermatology in 2014, and is interested in medical and cosmetic dermatology. She enjoys caring for patients of all ages in our Athens and Lake Oconee offices.
