Dr. Lin received her Bachelor's degree from Emory University, and her Medical Degree (MD) from the Medical College of Georgia. Her internship was performed at University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and her residency in Dermatology was completed at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles where she served as Chief Resident.
