She has also served Past President of the Association of Allergists & Immunologists from India from 1999 to 2001. She was recognized for her services by the Asian Indian Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Kanumury has been on the Board of Utilization Management and Quality Management Committee of University Health Plans for 3 years.
