About Dr. Tonny Tanus, MD

Dr. Tanus’ interest in researching innovative treatments for Allergy began in 1992 and continues today as an Investigator in phase III and IV clinical trials. He used his passion for research to found Kern Allergy and Medical Research, Inc. in Bakersfield in 2008. His articles and research appear in several medical journals. Dr. Tanus received his M.D. from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and a B.S. (cum laude) from University of Washington, Seattle.

Dr. Tonny Tanus is a member of the Kern County Medical Society and is a Fellow of the American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI) and the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI).

Dr. Tanus received his Bachelor in Science degree (cum laude) from the University of Washington in Seattle and his medical degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. 

Dr. Tanus then completed a Fellowship in Allergy/Immunology at the University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
