About Katie Heimer, MPAS, PA-C

Katie Heimer, PA is a Physician Assistant providing care to patients in Corsicana and Waxahachie, Texas at U.S. Dermatology.

Katie has been practicing in dermatology for four years in south Dallas prior to joining the U.S. Dermatology Partners group.

Katie is currently a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants with whom she completed specialty training in dermatology to receive her diplomate status. She stays current on dermatology training by attending meetings nationally with the SDPA and American Academy of Dermatology and locally with the Dallas Fort Worth Dermatology society and PA Journal Club.

She is certified by The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed by the Texas Medical Board. Katie also maintains a relationship with the physician assistant program by mentoring students as a Clinical Preceptor.

Education & Training

Katie graduated with honors from West Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree. She then completed the Physician Assistant program at UNTHSC in Fort Worth, graduating top of her class with her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies in 2010.

Katie was able to take part in a physician dermatology residency training program for one and a half years, during which she attended resident lectures and was provided close mentorship with well-respected clinical dermatologists.
