Damon McClain, MD is a Board Certified dermatologist providing care at Three Rivers Dermatology. Dr. McClain is skilled in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. He left the Navy after being selected for the rank of Commander to join Dr. Ira Cohen, a long-time friend, and mentor, in August of 2015. Three Rivers Dermatology now continues Dr. Cohen’s tradition of patient and family-centered care.

Damon McClain, M.D. received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh and his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. After medical school, he entered the U.S. Navy, where he spent 12 years of service as a physician serving our nation’s leaders, military personnel, and their dependents in a variety of locations, both in the United States and abroad. This included the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, aboard the naval vessel USS Oak Hill in Norfolk, VA, and under the Surgeon General at the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery in Washington, DC.
Dr. McClain returned to Walter Reed for his Dermatology residency, which included training at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Johns Hopkins University. After completing his residency, he spent three years as a staff Dermatologist at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC. Dr. McClain was an Associate Professor of Dermatology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and has published in multiple medical journals.
