Dr. Welch is an assistant clinical professor for the dermatology department at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. She also serves as an officer on the executive board of the Colorado Dermatologic Society.
Dr. Welch serves as a scientific advisor to acne product and sunscreen manufacturers and is the author of several scientific papers and medical textbook chapters on dermatologic subjects, and frequently serves as a speaker at scientific meetings in her field. Dr. Welch is a graduate of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas and completed residency training in dermatology at the University of California-Irvine. She received additional Mohs surgical fellowship training at Yale University in Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstruction for skin cancers.
