Education & Training
Dr. Barber graduated from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in three years with a B.S. in International Economics. His career goals changed and he spent a year accumulating extra science courses and was admitted to the Georgetown University School of Medicine. After obtaining his MD degree and having participated in the Navy medical scholarship program Dr. Barber did his medical internship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda. He then served as a general medical officer in Lakehurst, New Jersey before doing his dermatology residency at Naval Hospital San Diego. He served as a dermatologist at Naval Hospital Corpus Christi, Texas and Bethesda ,MD. While in Bethesda, Dr. Barber completed a dermatopathology fellowship at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology.
