Dr. Guccione specializes in medical dermatology with particular expertise in the treatment of skin cancer with Mohs surgery, a method of obtaining complete margin control in removing common types of skin cancer. As a Mohs surgeon, Dr. Guccione is highly skilled in all aspects of this technique, including surgical removal of the tumor, pathologic examination of the tissue, and advanced reconstruction techniques of the skin.

Dr. Jack L. Guccione, MD, MPH is a board-certified dermatologist providing care to patients in Humboldt County since 1995. 
Dr. Guccione holds a special interest in preventive medicine. He completed his Masters degree training in Preventive Medicine and Public Health from Loma Linda University in 1983. He also holds  advanced Nutrition Training certification from Cornell University.

The focus of his medical practice currently is to prevent life altering diseases such as Melanoma, Skin Cancer, as well as other skin diseases. His preventive approach dosen't stop at the skin however. He is also interested in a holistic approach to  patients which helps them combat the many western lifestyle diseases we face in America  such as cancer, heart disease,  and obesity.These conditions can lead to decreased quality of health and vibrancy in life.
