About Dr. John Steinbaugh, MD
Dr. John Steinbaugh is a dermatologist providing medical care to patients in the Boulder, Colorado area. Dr. Steinbaugh received a BS degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 1971. He graduated from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 1975. He then went on to complete a three year family practice residency at the University of Colorado in Denver and was Chief Resident at the University's Department of Family Practice. He began his dermatology residency at the University of North Carolina, which he completed in 1985, when he served as Chief Resident in Dermatology.
In 1990, Dr. Steinbaugh trained in Mohs Surgery with Dr. Rex Amonette at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. Dr. Steinbaugh is one of only 300 physicians worldwide to complete a fellowship program and be recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery. Dr. Steinbaugh is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Mohs Surgery, the American Society of Dermatological Surgery and the International Society of Dermatological Surgery.
