About Dr. Laurel Geraghty, MD
Laurel Naversen Geraghty, M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist who joined Dermatology & Laser Associates, LLP in October 2016.
Her clinical interests include skin cancer prevention and early detection, general dermatology, pediatric dermatology, lasers, and aesthetic dermatology. Dr. Geraghty has published academic papers on melanoma, skin disorders of pregnancy, cosmetic dermatology, and lasers for the treatment of scars, wrinkles, and other conditions. Her work has appeared in the Journal of the American Medical Association and Cancer. She has spoken at national dermatology conferences and directed Stanford’s resident cosmetic dermatology clinic for two years.
Dr. Geraghty is frequently quoted as a cosmetic and medical dermatology expert in national magazines, including Elle, Allure, Glamour, Brides, Reader’s Digest, Health, and Women’s Health.

Dr. Geraghty (pronounced “Garrity”) completed her dermatology residency at Stanford University in 2016, earned her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in 2012, and completed her undergraduate studies at Brown University. Prior to pursuing a career in medicine, she worked in New York City as a writer and editor, and served as Senior Editor at Glamour magazine.
