About Dr. Michael Lin, MD

Michael Lin, MD,  is a Board-Certified Dermatologist providing medical care to patients in the Sherman Oaks, California area at Dr.Lin Skincare Institute and Advanced Dermatology Skin Cancer Institute.

Dr.Lin specializes in the diagnoses and treatment of a wide variety of skin conditions with extensive experience in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. Over the years, Dr.Lin has also become specialized in laser therapy and through these services has built a loyal and trusting patient base. 

Dr. Lin received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Lin earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. He then completed his dermatology residency training and National Institutes of Health research fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Lin returned to California and accepted the positions of Adjunct Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine and Clinical Instructor at the University of California at Los Angeles David Geffen School of Medicine. He has also trained and given lectures at many academic institutions worldwide, including Stanford University, Taipei Medical University, and Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Lin is devoted to the welfare of his patients, no matter how big or small their skin care problems may be. He is an internationally respected dermatologist and educator who has received many local and national awards, including “America’s Top Dermatologist” by the Consumers’ Research Council of America, “Best Skin Care Miracle Worker” by Valley Magazine, and “Best Dermatologist in Sherman Oaks” by the Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Lin has been a consultant for the news media and featured as the dermatologist on the celebrity television show, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” More importantly, Dr. Lin has earned the trust and respect of the thousands of patients who have interacted with him on a personal basis.
