About Dr. Ruth Treiber, MD
Dr. Ruth Kaplan Treiber graduated from Cornell University’s College of Arts and Sciences in Ithaca, N.Y. and received her MD degree from Cornell University Medical College in New York City. After two years of Internal Medicine study at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center, she continued her training with a residency in dermatology at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, which she completed in 1983. She started her solo practice at that time. In 1993 she was joined in the practice by her husband Dr Eric Treiber, who was a practicing internist in Port Chester and went back to train and became board-certified in Dermatology as well. Together they have continued to provide their special personalized and compassionate brand of dermatologic care to the patients of Westchester and the broader tri-state area.
Treiber Dermatology Associates always puts patients first. Patients continued to receive necessary care both in person and via telemedicine during the Covid pandemic. Afterwards, the practice came back better and stronger, doing a full modernizing renovation of the office, training new staff, and hiring new doctors dedicated to the vision of outstanding patient care. Among them are our 3 outstanding, expertly-trained, and patient-centered physicians: Dr Leah Ansell, MD joined the practice in 2021 and Dr Margot Chima, MD joined the practice in 2023 to provide general dermatologic care for adults and children and to expand our cosmetic dermatology capabilities; Dr John Nia, MD a Mohs/cosmetic dermatologic surgeon joined us in 2022 to provide skin cancer care and complicated reconstructive procedures along with cosmetic removals in the comfort of our office. Patients are now able to make appointments with any of our board-certified doctors to receive the care they need.
