Dr. Tan attended Cornell University in Ithaca, New York for her undergraduate training and earned her medical degree from the University of Miami, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha society. She returned to New York to complete her postgraduate training in Dermatology at Columbia University, where she also served as chief resident.
