About Marla Stahlnecker, ARNP
Marla Kae began her work at Eastern Washington Dermatology (EWD) in 2006 and has worked solely at EWD since 2008.
Her practice in medical dermatology is guided by her desire to help patients of all ages understand and manage their acute and chronic skin concerns. She has an appreciation for the art of cosmetic dermatology with formal education through the Esthetic Skin Institute, receiving basic and advanced certification for the administration of fillers for soft tissue contour and correction and the administration of Botulinum Toxin A.
In 1980 Marla Kae became a Registered Nurse. Her work as a Registered Nurse included gyn-oncology, pediatric oncology, pediatric ICU, labor and delivery, medical-surgical nursing, home health care, hospice and 5 years as an executive director in hospice and home care.
In 2005, she completed her Master’s degree as Family Nurse Practitioner from Washington State University. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, she provided primary care for patients with complex health needs. During her Master’s education she dedicated many hours of internship to dermatology which fueled her interest in this field.
She is licensed as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in Washington and is credentialed through American Association of Nurse Practitioners in Family Practice. Marla Kae is a member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Dermatology Nurse’s Association and the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International.
Marla Kae is married to Leslie Stahlnecker. They have 2 children and 3 grandchildren. Away from the office she finds pleasure in spending time with friends, family and appreciates music, reading, travel, playing table games, dark chocolate and a passion for cooking. These joys, however, are all eclipsed by the delight she finds in her role as “Nana”.
