Steven Prus, PA-C joined Advanced Dermatology in February of 2010. Previously, Steve practiced general dermatology at a busy general and cosmetic dermatology practice with offices located in downtown Chicago and Kankakee. He has extensive experience in all aspects of medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.
With almost two decades worth of dermatology experience in both urban and rural settings, Steve is comfortable treating all types of dermatologic patients. However, he especially enjoys surgical and procedural dermatology. He enhances the quality of care at Advanced Dermatology by incorporating his strong surgical skills into a robust procedurally oriented practice.

After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in pre-medicine and clinical psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Steve completed his physician assistant studies at Albany Medical College in Albany, New York in 2000. There he received the Julia L. Freitag award, which is awarded annually to the graduate attaining the highest level of academic and clinical achievement.
