Al Keith is a certified asthma educator, licensed and certified respiratory therapist of 33 years, and a graduate of the University of Chicago Respiratory Therapy Program and National-Louis University. Al is also an accomplished professional musician and vocalist with 53 years of experience, and the creator of CTK’s innovative asthma education program, “Asthma Blues”®.
“Asthma Blues”® utilizes the science of music and learning to communicate the NAEPP guidelines for asthma management. The "Asthma Blues"® study was done with hospitalized asthma patients in Chicago. The study results showed a 58% increase in their asthma knowledge and self-management skills.
