She is also a member of the Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistants and Georgia Association of Physician Assistants. Alexa is passionate about volunteering her time to help others and giving back to her community in Atlanta through her volunteer work at Mercy Care and The Catholic Shrine. She enjoys traveling, health and fitness, cooking, and spending time with her husband and family.

Alexa received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Auburn University graduating Magna Cum Laude and her Master of Physician Assistant from Augusta University’s College of Allied Health Sciences. Her prior experience includes working as a medical assistant at the Piedmont Heart Institute at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta and as a physician assistant for a family medical practice in Smyrna, Georgia. This experience has provided Alexa with the ability to help her patients better manage their dermatology conditions as well as educate them about the role they play in their treatment.
