Born in New York state, Carrie Elam, MSN FNP-C moved to Murfreesboro as a young child and graduated from Oakland High School in Murfreesboro. She started my career as a dermatology nurse at Vanderbilt Medical Center. She later obtained her Masters of Nursing from Tennessee State University.
